Armen Ghazaryan (weightlifter)

Armen Ghazaryan (Armenian: Արմէն Ղազարյան; born June 19, 1982) is a male weightlifter from Armenia. He competed for his native country at the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens, Greece, finishing in fourth place in the men's featherweight division (– 62 kg). Armen Ghazaryan became the ex-Champion of Eurpoe among juniors (-46kg) in 1997 Tatabanya (HUN), the Champion of Europe (-54kg) in 1998 Coruna (SPA), won bronze medal during Junior World Championships (-56kg) in Savannah (USA), was the first in clean & jerk during Junior European Championships (-62kg) in 1999 Spala (POL), won silver during Junior World Championships (-62kg) in 2000 Prag(CZE), the Champion of the World among juniors (-62kg) in 2001 Thessaloniki (GRE), was 4th in the Olympic Games (-62kg) in 2004 Athens (GRE), won bronze during 2006 European Weightlifting Championships (-69kg) Wladyslawowo (POL), was the 2nd in clean & jerk during Seinors World Championships (-69kg)in 2006 Santo Domingo (DOM). After 2006, he became a Russian citizen and won silver during 2010 World Weightlifting Championships – Men's 69 kg Antalya (TUR) as a Russian weightlifter.
